This was used mostly as an accounting record method, the employee was given this time check with the number on it to determine how long it took for him to complete a task so that the customer could be billed the correct amount, or to determine if the employee was doing his job efficiently. The clerk would recorded the time out for the job, and of time returned for the total labor time required.
The check is about 1 & 3/8 inches across.
