The description on the front of this card reads:
Home of Chief Justice Marshall
9th and Marshall Sts.
Richmond, VA.
The description on the back of the card reads:
HOME OF CHIEF JUSTICE MARSHALL.--Situated
on the northwest corner of Ninth and Marshall Streets, in
the same square with the new "John Marshall High School."
It was built by Chief Justice (then General) Marshall and
occupied by him from 1795 until his death in 1835.
The card was written on and mailed.  It was postmarked in Washington, D.C., in 1944.  (Part of the correspondence says "War news is hopeful.")  The card was mailed to Vermillion, South Dakota, and still has its one cent stamp attached.
The card does have postmark ink on the front, and the corners are bumped.
