The 1982 Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan movie, re-introduced the tyrannical villain, Khan Noonen Singh back to the Star Trek mythos. And made the Federation U.S.S. Reliant ship famous.
The U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864 starship, as seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, entered the history books when it was hijacked by Khan, a mad man obsessed with revenge. Under the command of Captain Clark Terrell, the U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864 is assigned to look for a suitable lifeless planet to test the Genesis Device. This radical new terra-forming technology can both create and destroy worlds.
