Description
Not all WiFi antennae are equal. This TurboTenna uses only top quality components. The PA (power amplifier), advanced digital filter, the BALUN impedance matching and the overall antenna tuning are key differentiators.
Unlike most Yagi antennae with long broom and numerous director elements, It is designed to reduce the length of the entire antenna while maintaining a wider RF aperture (visibility) to pick up WiFi signals in the vicinity and far away, combining the advantages of both. It is also slim and light weight that you could carry it in a traveller bag.

"The antenna and USB adaptor are very solid. I actually get better range with this little guy than a 1 meter 26 dBi parabolic dish antenna hooked to another 2000mw USB adaptor. I think this is because this antenna is perfectly tuned and matched to work with it's integrated wifi adaptor. It seems to be a very good design, and despite being lightweight it feels very well constructed. I'm not afraid to store it in my laptop bag.
Yes it does indeed work well in Linux, with full packet injection support. I didn't have to patch drivers or anything, it was just plug and go on Debian 5.0.
My only complaint is the tripod. It seems to be a cheap miniature tripod of the type you might see packaged with a low-end digital camera. It's not quite big enough for the antenna, and the antenna will tip unless placed with great care. The screw that stabilizes things to allow proper aiming also stripped on me within hours. It's not all bad though - the tripod uses the standard mounting screw for camera tripods, I intend on picking up a slightly larger and higher quality one.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this device as a long-range wireless solution and would recommend it to any geek or penetration tester that needs extreme range at a good price in a small package."
